Hi,

Does anyone know how to reset the admin password in phpmyadmin? I can get to phpmyadmin but I just need a little help with which area to look at and how to make the change.
for some reason my version just decided to lock me out with “unauthorized” Access Denied

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks,

I've managed to get that far. I can see the security table and the word "password" but I'm not sure where to go from here. when I check the password box and then hit change, I get presented with Field, Type, Length, Collation, Attributes, Null, Default, Extra and Comments. It doen't sound like I'm in the right place :?:

if you open the table it should look similar to a spreadsheet. This table only has 1 row of data in it. under the column password you should see a value inside it. change the value to what ever you need. the data type is varchar so any number text or symbol is acceptable.

sounds like you may have been editing the table structure

Hi dtsoden,
thanks for your help.

I think that what has happened is that the admin account has been deleted? I can see the test account and I can change the test password but I can't see the Admin account. But not to worry. We only need this now for people to sign the petition until Sunday and I can still extract the data from phpmyadmin or the test account.

thanks again.
